| Art Takes Miami attracted entries from all around the world. The amount of talent, innovation and skill has been tremendous and we thank you all again for sharing your vision with this project. The judges were thoroughly impressed with the work and it was extremely difficult narrowing down the selected artists. With that said, we are very proud to announce the Grand Prize and Early Entry Award recipients, as well as the Top 50 artists! Congratulations to everyone who participated! |

The Grand Prize Artist
Congratulations to Tim Sullivan! Born in the midwest, Mr. Sullivan grew up with a mysterious and idealized notion of California, imprinted in him largely by pop culture film and music. His works address these myths and idealizations, referencing Hollywood, hippie culture, cults, surf culture and heavy metal. If you plan to attend this year's SCOPE Art Fair in Miami, be sure to check out his work at the Artists Wanted booth! To view some of his work online, check out his portfolio here.

The Early Entry Award
Congratulations to Don Edler, whose work "aims to encourage a personal understanding of the universe", manifesting in installations of large-scale, architectural structures that playfully reference physics and science. Mr. Edler currently resides in Brooklyn, New York and will be awarded a $1,000 cash grant. To see his work, check out his portfolio here.
